Exploring Careers Beyond the Classroom!

On September 23, students from Vidalia High School Carpentry and Southeastern College and Career Academy (SECCA) Energy Pathway traveled to Dublin to participate in a career exposure event hosted by Georgia Power.

Students experienced high-voltage electrical demonstrations, learned about the wide variety of careers available with Georgia Power and its contractors, and discovered the education, training, and skills needed to pursue those careers. From hands-on demonstrations to conversations with industry professionals, students got a firsthand look at what it takes to build a career in the energy industry.

At Vidalia High School CTAE, we believe career exploration starts with exposure and experiences like this help our students see the possibilities that await them beyond high school!

We are creating future professionals!
