Best of Luck to Our Cheerleader of the Year Candidates!

Vidalia High School is proud to have two outstanding student-athletes representing our school at the 2026 GCCA Cheerleader of the Year Competition on Saturday, August 1, at Columbus State University.

Congratulations to Journey Clements and Nylah Harvey, who were selected through a highly competitive application process as two of the Top 30 candidates in the A–4A Division from across the state of Georgia.

Journey and Nylah are both four-year lettermen in the Vidalia High School Cheerleading program and have proudly represented the Indians as members of both our Competition and Game Day teams. Together, they helped lead Vidalia to the 2023 GHSA Game Day State Championship, and throughout their careers have exemplified excellence, commitment, leadership, and school pride.

During Saturday's competition, candidates will be evaluated through a comprehensive process that includes a personal interview, communication skills, presentation, jumps, tumbling, partner stunting, dance, cheer, and overall performance.

"Being selected to compete among the top candidates in Georgia is an incredible accomplishment. We are so proud of the dedication Journey and Nylah have shown over the past four years and can't wait to watch them represent Vidalia High School with excellence this weekend," said Coach Ann Michele Toole.
