Students at Vidalia High School competed in the county Voice of Democracy contest, which is sponsored by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Sophomore Dottie McDaniel won 2nd place while Mikkelle Peters, a Senior at VHS, won First Place. Mikkelle has placed 3rd in the local contest for the past 3 years, but her 2021 speech will be entered in the District competition. With a win at that level, her speech will go to the State VOD contest.
