Something new is happening at Vidalia High School, and this one is built by students, for students.
LEVEL UP is a student-led academic support and mentorship program designed to help students close learning gaps, strengthen study skills, and build confidence through peer-to-peer support.
This isn't about giving students the answers. It's about helping them develop the strategies, understanding, and confidence to find those answers themselves.
📅 Tuesdays & Thursdays
⏰ WIN / Lunch & Learn
👉 Sign Up through RTI Scheduler
Math support is currently available for Algebra, Advanced Algebra, Honors Advanced Algebra, and AP Pre-Calculus. Support is also available in all other core academic areas.
At VHS, being elite isn't just about your own success... it's about helping the person beside you LEVEL UP, too. ⬆️
Student Led. Student Built. Student Focused.

We’re kicking off the school year by celebrating the outstanding work of our Vidalia High School students and teachers!
Last year’s hard work, high expectations, and commitment to excellence earned VHS THREE impressive AP recognitions:
🏆 GaDOE AP Challenge School
🏆 GaDOE AP STEM School
🥉 College Board AP School Honor Roll – Bronze Level
These honors don’t happen by accident. They are the result of students who embrace the challenge and teachers who push, prepare, and believe in them every step of the way.
In the classroom and beyond, excellence is the standard.

🏹A Great Start to the School Year! 🏹
We are so thankful for an amazing start to the 2026-2027 school year! It has been exciting to see so many families using the new Vidalia City Schools website and app to stay connected with our schools.
At this time, we are working with Apptegy to resolve an issue affecting teacher-to-parent messaging. A syncing issue between PowerSchool and the app is preventing some guardians from accessing classroom communication. Our team is working closely with Apptegy to have this feature fully available as soon as possible.
If you need to contact your child's teacher or school while we complete these updates, please reach out by phone or email.
📞 Vidalia High School: 912-537-7931
📞 J.R. Trippe Middle School: 912-537-3813
📞 Sally D. Meadows Elementary: 912-537-4755
📞 J.D. Dickerson Primary School: 912-537-3421
📞 Vidalia City School Board of Education: 912-537-3088, ext. 2020
📲 Haven't downloaded the app yet? Download the Vidalia City School District app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, then be sure to enable Notifications so you never miss important district and school updates.
Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to improve this new communication tool. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to sharing a fully connected experience with all of our families soon!

We're proud to announce that Vidalia High School is launching the Georgia FLEX (Foundational Leadership & Entrepreneurial Experience) Program for the 2026–2027 school year!
This innovative program gives students the opportunity to become more than learners—they become problem solvers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Through hands-on experiences, mentorship from local business leaders, and the chance to develop and launch real business ideas, our students will gain the skills needed to succeed in school, careers, and life.
To prepare for this exciting journey, Amy Gillies and Gray Meredith recently attended the Georgia FLEX Implementation Workshop, where they collaborated with educators from across the state to build a strong foundation for bringing this program to Vidalia.
This partnership represents an investment in our students and in the future of our community. By fostering innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking, we're helping develop the next generation of leaders right here at VHS.
We can't wait to see what our students create this year!
Learn more about Georgia FLEX at www.georgiaflex.org or contact Gray Meredith to learn how you can support our local program.

Our best ideas don't come from one office, they come from listening to the people we serve.
This year, we are inviting parents, guardians, staff, and community members to be part of the Superintendent's Community Focus Group. If you care about the future of Vidalia City Schools and want to have a voice in meaningful conversations about where we're headed, I'd love for you to join us.
If you're willing to invest in three conversations throughout the year that build on one another, please register by scanning the QR code on the graphic below or by using the registration link in this post.
I hope you'll consider being part of this important work. Together, we can continue building a school system our entire community is proud to call its own.

The Vidalia City Schools app is now our district's official communication platform for teacher and family communication.
Over the next few days, your child's teacher will send a "Welcome to Our Class" message through the app. Once you receive that message, you'll be able to send messages directly to your child's teacher, ask questions, and stay connected throughout the school year.
Be sure to enable notifications for the app so you never miss an important classroom update, school announcement, or district message.
We look forward to partnering with you for a great school year. Go Indians! 🏹

We hope you'll join us for an evening of fun as we celebrate the start of a new school year! Come enjoy activities, connect with our schools and community, and get excited for an amazing year ahead.
